REACTION with interim boss Stanley

By Shane Hudson

Craig Stanley reviews the sides performance away to South Shields and looks forward to the weekend.

After a few days of change, Lancaster City travelled to high flying South Shields last night, losing 2-0 in a tight game against the now table-toppers.

"It was a great effort by the boys and a very good performance, we couldn’t of asked for more!

We played against a very good team in South Shields, but our shape was good and we had a couple of chances too.

Overall I was very pleased with the performance!"said Stanley.

Looking ahead to the weekend's game vs North Ferriby he added,

"We need to take this performancr onto Saturday's game now, which is a massive game. We need the same effort and same commitment and we’re going all out to try and win the game!"

And Stanley also wanted to thank the supporters who travelled to South Shields, and urges them to be back in force on Saturday,

"I want to thank the supporters who traveled to the game last night. The staff and the players appreciate it and we need that on Saturday too!

We want the fans to come out in force and support the boys!"

THAT NEXT GAME is this Saturday at home to North Ferriby.
