Lancaster City Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of our new first team Manager, Mark Fell.
Fell, who resigned last night as Manager of Ramsbottom United joins the club after recently relocating back to the City where he attended University and lived previously for 5 years.
The Dolly Blues' Chairman Stuart Houghton said: ‘I am extremely pleased to welcome a manager with the passion and experience Mark possesses. He and his Assistant Graham Lancashire bring a different dimension to a very challenging and highly competitive league.'
Ramsbottom United have progressed well under Fell’s leadership since he took sole charge over the club in January 2017, a change that saw an improvement from 18th place to 10th with a run of 10 unbeaten games.
Everyone at Lancaster City wishes Mark greatest success, hoping the club can now build on the great work Craig Stanley and Matthew Blinkhorn have been doing in the past couple of weeks.
Mark Fell was thrilled to join the Dolly Blues, saying:
"I'm delighted to be joining Lancaster City Football Club, after spending time with the board it is clear that the ambition and direction of the club match that of my own.
It's a club with great history and I'm excited to be leading us into our next chapter, whilst there is clearly much work to be done in terms of improving current league position, we have a good squad in place who I'm looking forward to working with.
It's a fresh start for the club and an opportunity for the people of Lancaster to come out in force this weekend to get behind the lads when we host Basford at Giant Axe."
The club wishes to note their thanks to Craig and Matthew for their effort and dedication during their time as caretakers.
