Phil Brown has strengthened his squad further for the title run-in with the acquisition of highly rated Preston North End winger Josh Earl (pictured left vs Everton).
The winger, in his second year at PNE's academy, is a versatile player who can play in both defence and midfield.
Speaking to PNE's website, Josh revealed he was excited to join the Dolly Blues.
“Phil Brown coached me at U15s and we had quite a good run with him. I enjoyed being coached by him and liked all of his training sessions, so it will be good to work with him again.
“It’s a good ground. We [Preston North End] played there in a pre-season friendly with the U23s and it was a good experience of playing there in the stadium."
Josh, 18, is enthusiastic about the prospect of helping the Dolly Blues in the fight for the Division 1 North crown.
“It’s going to be difficult to win all seven, and it’s going to be a challenge to win the league, but I think it is possible. I just want to work hard and try to make a positive impact in all the games that I play in.”
Josh is available for selection for City's next game this Saturday away at Radcliffe Borough.
